Located in Nakadori, Akita City, “Washoku Nari” is a Japanese restaurant offering authentic seasonal cuisine that highlights the finest ingredients from Akita.

One of the restaurant’s signature dishes is its earthenware pot rice, made with Akita Komachi rice delivered directly from contracted farmers and known for its fragrant aroma and fluffy texture. In addition to premium ingredients such as Hinai-jidori chicken and Akita beef, the restaurant makes generous use of natural products sourced from within the prefecture. The menu showcases the flavors of each season—spring mountain vegetables, summer sweetfish and black abalone, autumn mushrooms including matsutake and maitake, and winter delicacies such as crab and fugu (pufferfish)—each dish crafted with care to bring out the character of the ingredients. Beautiful presentation and refined, delicate flavors are hallmarks of the cuisine.
