Tempura Ichihara offers tempura as a full sensory experience—complete with the sounds and aromas of each piece being fried right before guests’ eyes, along with warm conversation with the owner.
For owner‑chef Ichihara, the most important principle as a tempura craftsman is simple: never compromise. He sources only ingredients he can wholeheartedly deem delicious, and anything that falls short of his standards is never served. Each day, he carefully evaluates the condition of seafood and vegetables, selecting only the very best. He also fine‑tunes the oil temperature and frying technique daily, continually striving to make each piece “even better than yesterday.” Enjoy the pure flavors of the ingredients, brought out through a light, delicate batter and precise cooking.
The restaurant features a calm, counter‑only setting. Guests can enjoy freshly fried tempura at the very moment it tastes best, all while relaxing in an unpretentious, welcoming atmosphere—even first‑time visitors can feel completely at ease.
With the hope that every guest leaves thinking, “I’m glad I came,” and “I want to return,” each dish is prepared with sincere care and dedication.
