Sima Kuuma is a casual dining bar that proudly hosts Hokkaido’s only certified Oyster Meister. Embracing a genre‑less culinary style, it offers a relaxed setting where guests can enjoy dishes and drinks that highlight the true character of each ingredient.

The cuisine features carefully selected seasonal ingredients from both Hokkaido and Kagoshima, creating dishes that harmonize the flavors of the north and south. The menu ranges from motsunabe (offal hot pot) and meat dishes to seafood, with specialties such as the meticulously prepared “Salt Motsunabe,” the warm vegetable salad, and a variety of oyster‑focused plates. The Oyster Meister personally selects seasonal oysters with close attention to producer philosophy and safety, preparing them in ways that bring out their fullest flavor. The owner also visits fishing ports to source fresh fish directly from fishermen, while vegetables are delivered straight from local farms—reflecting a deep commitment to local production and sustainability.

The drink selection includes Japanese sake, wine, craft beer, craft gin, and whisky, with pairing suggestions available. Limited‑edition labels and freshly poured craft beers are also offered.

Inside, the restaurant features a modern and calming atmosphere. Counter seating allows guests to enjoy relaxed conversations with the friendly owner, while table seating can be flexibly arranged for different group sizes.
