This is the Kyoto branch of Mimotto, a hard-to-reserve restaurant in Meguro, Tokyo.

The owner-chef, a graduate of the culinary school of a five-star hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, expresses the changing seasons of Japan with traditional techniques of authentic Thai cuisine backed by his in-depth knowledge and skills.

Also, they cherish the roots of Thai cuisine, pay respect to the rich regional flavors of Kyoto and its suburbs, and incorporate them into our menu.

The interior of the restaurant, which combines the relaxed atmosphere of Japan and the vivid atmosphere of Thailand in a perfect balance, has been fully renovated while making use of an old Kyoto machiya (traditional townhouse).

The exterior of the building is designed to blend in with the surrounding landscape, keeping the original calm townhouse as it is.

A vivid green sliding door attached to a block wall marks the entrance to a foreign country.

• Dietary restrictions / Allergies:

  If you have any specific food allergies or ingredients you cannot consume, please inform us in advance. If you have extensive allergies or food dislikes that may affect more than two dish in a course, your reservation will be canceled and subject to the cancellation policy depending on the timing of your request. Please check with us in advance before making a reservation.

• Arrival time:

  It will start all at the time of reservation. Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you are late or you are leaving in the middle of your time, you may not be able to provide some of the course meals. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, it will be treated as a cancellation and you will be charged 100% of the cancellation fee.

• Dress Code:

  Dress code is smart casual (Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, shorts, and sandals when you visit.)

  On-site payment is by credit card only (cash not accepted). Thank you for your understanding.
