About Akanezaka Onuma
Located just a 3-minute walk from Akasaka Station, "Akanezaka Onuma" is a Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy a serene atmosphere that makes you forget about the hustle and bustle of the city, all while having excellent access.
Mr. Mitsuharu Onuma, who honed his skills at renowned traditional establishments such as Tokyo Kichō, Nihon Ryōri Matsushita, and Goryōri Tsuji, fulfilled his long-cherished dream of opening his own restaurant in February 2020. The restaurant offers traditional kaiseki cuisine that focuses on seasonal ingredients that change with the seasons. The seafood and vegetables are sourced from famous suppliers in Tsukiji, while the rice is made from locally produced Tsuya Hime rice from the owner's hometown in Yamagata Prefecture. Mr. Onuma, with his delicate techniques and unique creativity, creates exquisite dishes that bring out the best flavors of the ingredients, carefully prepared for each and every customer, reflecting the changing seasons.
You can enjoy authentic seasonal Japanese cuisine that incorporates specialties such as "nabe-takikomi gohan" (rice cooked in a pot) and refined "wanmono" (soup) dishes, each highlighting their own distinctive characteristics.
To provide visual enjoyment for customers, the restaurant owner personally selects the tableware from his antique collection to complement the dishes. The restaurant aims to provide a luxurious experience surrounded by the owner's dedication to both the cuisine and elegant tableware, allowing guests to have a memorable time.
The interior of the restaurant has a hidden and secluded atmosphere that makes you forget you are in the heart of the city, and it reflects Mr. Onuma's attention to detail throughout the design. There are 8 counter seats where guests can enjoy observing the cooking process and 4 private rooms for a relaxed and private dining experience. It can be used for various purposes, whether for solo dining or with friends and colleagues. Although it is a relatively new establishment, many regular customers have already visited multiple times, which attests to the satisfaction of the kaiseki cuisine. We sincerely hope that you will come and enjoy it too.
