SOA is a restaurant that expresses the cycles of nature and the evolution of life through gastronomy, with “earth”—the source of all life—as its central theme.

At SOA, we work with underutilized fish that would otherwise be discarded before reaching the market, as well as land‑farmed fish raised in Sakai. We also use wild boar and deer that are typically culled as pests, but which have been ethically processed into meat by certified specialists. Through food, we offer an experience that invites guests to reflect on environmental issues, food loss, and the future of what we eat.

The restaurant is led by Director Kenji Yabuuchi, formerly of a three‑Michelin‑starred establishment, and Chef Kazuaki Takada, who trained at Michelin‑listed restaurants. Together, they create a course that pursues not only beauty and flavor, but also the stories, philosophies, and origins behind each ingredient. Every dish expresses the life, background, and value of the materials used—elevating the experience into a narrative that goes far beyond taste alone.

The interior is a chic, gallery‑like space designed to highlight each creation, offering sweeping views of Osaka’s nightscape from 150 meters above the ground. Music incorporating Solfeggio frequencies—composed around the theme of Earth’s formation—fills the room, creating an immersive environment that engages all five senses.

  To ensure the highest quality of our cuisine, we offer a fixed original course. We kindly ask guests to enjoy the dishes as they are, even if there are certain ingredients they may not prefer.

• Arrival time:

  Please arrive 5 minutes before your reserved time to ensure a timely start of your meal. If you do not contact us and exceed your reservation time, it will be automatically canceled.

  If you are late or you are leaving in the middle of your time, you may not be able to provide some of the course meals.

• Dress Code:

  Dress code is smart casual (Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, shorts, and sandals when you visit.)

• Children:

  Guests aged 13 and above, and able to enjoy the course meal.

• Others:

  We kindly ask for your consideration regarding excessive perfume or fabric softener fragrances.

  The restaurant will contact you one week prior to your reservation to confirm your booking. Please be aware that your reservation may be canceled if we are unable to reach you by two days prior to your booking.
