The restaurant name "a canto" derives from ancient Italian, meaning "beside." It was named to represent a place where customers can choose to dine when they simply want to enjoy delicious Italian cuisine.

The commitment of "a canto" is that Chef Takashi Murata personally visits the market every morning to procure ingredients, and offers cuisine derived from the experience training period in Italy with his passion for delivering delicious food to customers.

They offer a "chef's tasting course," carefully crafted with seasonal ingredients, dish by dish. They particularly emphasize their commitment to pasta, which holds a significant position in the course. All pasta is handmade in the restaurant, from dough preparation to serving, as they strive to present it in its best possible state through continuous exploration.

Italy boasts winemaking in all 20 regions, with approximately 500 government-approved grape varieties and an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 varieties when including local variations. At ”a canto,” they offer a diverse selection of wines, both by the glass and bottle, without focusing on specific regions, embracing the rich variety found throughout Italy.
