A new Southeast Asian restaurant, “Night Market,” has opened in the gourmet district near Aoyama Gakuin University in Shibuya.

Owner-chef Chihiro Naito honed his skills at the renowned French restaurant L’Effervescence before going on to create a new food culture—modern Vietnamese—at Ăn Đi in Gaienmae.

At “Night Market,” he broadens his perspective to focus on Southeast Asia as a whole.

Drawing inspiration from his travels across the region, Chef Naito presents highly original dishes that combine Southeast Asian herbs and spices with French culinary techniques.

The drink selection is equally diverse, featuring international beers, wines, sake, and original non-alcoholic beverages.

The restaurant’s name reflects the desire for guests to enjoy their visit freely—pairing their favorite dishes with drinks according to their mood, just as one would at a lively night market.
